About Us
With over more than 30 years in the insurance industry, including executive leadership roles within large carriers and MGAs, I’ve had the opportunity to work across underwriting, operations, technology, and distribution. That experience provided a front-row view into how organizations balance underwriting discipline, growth objectives, and the need for modern systems—often struggling to achieve all three at once
I’ve seen firsthand what happens when underwriting discipline erodes under growth pressure—and how difficult it is to restore once it’s lost.
Alcyon was created to do it differently. Not to chase volume or disrupt for disruption’s sake, but to build an underwriting-led MGA designed to protect capacity, enforce appetite, and scale only when the fundamentals are proven.
